If you and your spouse are able to communicate with each other
in good faith and if you both have full disclosure of all financials,
you may be able to work out a settlement agreement prior to
filing a complaint for divorce.
In this event you would both retain individual attorneys to protect
your respective interests. The attorneys would assist in resolving
issues, preparing an agreement and after the agreement is signed
one of you would proceed through the courts to obtain a divorce.
This divorce process is typically less expensive than the litigious
route, however an agreement with your spouse would require
good communication and full disclosure. |
